Introduction
The idea of equilibrium in Economics is borrowed from the field of Physics. In physics, equilibrium is signifying a state of ‘rest’. The law of motion states that any body at rest stays at rest unless another body allows it to change the current state, and or any body in motion remains in motion unless another body puts it to rest. The same idea is used to understand market equilibrium. The market stays unsettled unless it finds the equilibrating value.
This is what we are going discuss this one and half hours of lecture discussion.

Islam Correlates to Christian Faith

The Muslims are very controversial today. And when they say the Muslims often it appears to be all Muslims alike irrespective of cultural and economic conditions. Especially that there is terror in several places around the world and the ones blamed have been identified to be Muslims, there seems to be growing discussions whether Muslims love hostilities. If the conflict is between the Muslims and the Non-Muslims (assumingly we mean the Christians) does it neccessarily imply that Islam and Christianity have been based on conflicting foundations? The following links will lead us to the information we need to answer whether Islam and Christianity are correlated or not at all.

What I do for love?

Early this morning, my daughter crept to my side and whispered "Ina law-ay" (Mother, you're ugly!). I woke up and embraced my little girl. Her sweet expression of calling one ugly is her style of getting the attention saying, "I'm here wanting to be loved".

Making faces and saying you're ugly has become a sub-culture expression in the family but this in anyway does not destroy feelings of belongingness and love. Cuddling my kids despite them making faces with me and kissing them and whispering prayers full of love while embracing them is my heart felt expression of my undying love for them. By the way, my girl is already on her teen-age years and my son is already 20.

Daniel Barenboim

Music to Daniel is not just a compilation of notes placed beautifully in perfect harmony. It is to him, which I also believe, a state where a holistic union of heart, soul and music playing a sound of harmony, is achieved; when one can no longer separate music from musicianship or the brains from the heart.

Daniel feels he is very lucky to have good parents. His father taught him not just music but how to think. Right thinking is required in dealing with life. He is even able to compare the living society with a playing orchestra where everyone plays his music while simultaneously listening to others’ music. This is I guess what his message is that we need to respect to each other’s uniqueness while keeping our own unique character. This is the only way to attain social balance.
If he were here in the Philippines, he would probably address poverty issues. Maybe to be very poor can be likened to a very low note (lower than bass probably) and to be very rich is likened to a high pitched note (higher than soprano). Considering the condition in the Philippines where there are more than 70 million poor and only less than two percent rich, one could simply imagine a music having all lower notes than there are higher. Then I guess it is not good music at all because balance is absent.

The Beauty and the Beautiful

Beauty is the manifestation of the presence of the Beautiful.
